Join us for the Nicosia Horrible Hash House Harriers (NH4) 2000th Run
NH4 was founded in April 1989 when Duncan (Dingbat) Kirby moved to Cyprus and met up with Margo Beytah and Sue Taylor. The had all hashed in the Middle East in Oman, Kuwait and Iraq. Only two hashers are left from the NH4 inaugural run: Dingbat and Andros (Zivana) Theodotou. They are still actively involved in the Mismanagement of NH4 and will be responsible for any of the multiple f*ck ups on the 2000th run weekend. Nicosia or Λευκωσία, is the last divided capital in the world split down the middle between its Greek and Turkish sides. It is also completely enclosed by its walls built by the Venetians in the 16th century and the old city still has a medieval feel about it.

Programme
Friday 19th March; registration where you will pick up your goody bag, followed by a pub crawl through the old town including one drink at each pub and a traditional snack.
Saturday 20th March; 2000th run: long, short and walkers trails followed by traditional hash circle and celebration dinner late into the evening.
Sunday 21st March; recovery run followed by circle and light lunch.
Cost

FAQs
How do you get to Nicosia?
Closest international airport is Larnaca. Public transport in Cyprus isn’t great. But there is an airport shuttle run by Kapnos which runs direct buses to Nicosia every hour or so. Unfortunately they terminate just outside Nicosia so you will need to get another bus or a taxi from there. There is also an international airport n Paphos but this is further from Nicosia. It is no recommended to fly into Ercan airport which is in the occupied part of the island as you will have problems crossing to the South.
Where should you stay?
All the activities will be in and around the old town so we recommend booking hotels or AirBnB near there.
